Fredrica Dooley-Brown, M.M.T., MT-BC (she/her) is a native West Virginian and currently resides in the Winchester, Virginia, area. She is a graduate of Shenandoah 音乐学院 with a Bachelor of 音乐疗法 (2011) and Master and Master of 音乐疗法 (2019). She is a Board Certified 音乐 Therapist, and a current member of the American 音乐疗法 Association and the Virginia 音乐疗法 Association. Dooley-Brown developed and grew a trauma-informed music therapy program for Grafton Integrated 健康 Network’s Winchester campuses in January of 2013 and has been their music therapist and internship supervisor ever since. She enjoys collaborating with her students to showcase their talents through two shows annually for parents and funding agencies. Prior to developing the music therapy program at Grafton, she worked for DBHDS Southside Virginia Training Center as the music therapist where she devised individualized treatment plans and fostered positive therapeutic relationships.
Dooley-Brown is the director of the NW Works Chimers, a Suzuki tone-chime choir compiled of disabled adult musicians and Shenandoah University student volunteers. She also spearheaded a collaboration with Shenandoah Summer 音乐 剧院 to provide their very first sensory friendly performance of “The Sound of 音乐” in 2019.
Dooley-Brown loves teaching clinical voice skills for aspiring music therapists, as well as conducting voice lessons for community members. She also enjoys traveling and working with different organizations to spread the power and joy of music therapy.
